Changes Are Constent

Changing interests and focuses in our lives make life more interesting and FUN. With that in mind I have added a couple more blogs: Preschool Learning Adventure and Mama's Reading Nook both are linked to Primarily A Mama blog. This will stay as my main page, but the others you can access through the tabs above. I will make excerpt posts here for each post written on the other blogs and link them so you can just click and go. I hope this will help keep things better organized and clean looking for myself and all of you.

Miracles Come To Those Who Have Faith

My son gives the talk in Primary tomorrow. Thought I would share with all of you. We are using pictures from the Gospel Art Kit and the Gospel Art Book.

Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is the first principle of the gospel.
Faith is a “hope for things which are not seen, which are true” (Hebrews 11:1)

By faith, miracles are wrought, angels appear, the gifts of the Spirit are given, prayers are answered, and men become the sons of God (Moroni 7:37)

Here are a few examples from the Scriptures.

Noah was commanded to build an ark and call repentance to the people, who were becoming wicked. A flood came and covered the earth. Because of Noah and his families faith they were safe from the flood.

Moses was leading the Israelites through the wilderness from Egypt, were they were slaves. The Israelites started to complain and were not grateful for what the Lord had done for them, serpents were sent and bit them. Moses prayed for the people and Jesus told him to make a brass serpent. Anyone who looked at the staff after being bitten lived.

Lazarus was a friend of Jesus. He had died and was buried in a tomb. His sisters, Mary and Martha had faith that Jesus could bring him back from the dead. Jesus came and Lazarus came back to life.

Alma the Younger was with the Sons of Mosiah were not being nice to the people of the Church Alma’s family and the church members prayed for Alma the Younger to have a change of heart. Because of their faith and Angel came to Alma and the four Sons of Mosiah. Alma repented of his sins and came back to the church and became a great teacher and leader. The Sons of Mosiah became great missionaries.

In 1848, after the Pioneers arrived in the Salt Lake Valley and had planted crops. Crickets came and started eating the crops. The Pioneers fasted and prayed and Seagulls come and ate the crickets. It took three weeks but the crops were saved.

The greatest miracle that happened was when Jesus was crucified, He was laid in a Tomb and on the third day was resurrected. Because of this miracle every person who ever lived will be able to live again.

Miracles still happen today and come to those who have faith. Some and big and some are small, but they are all from Heavenly Father who loves us.
